We’re pleased to announce some of our forthcoming events for 2014.
Pensioners’ Party
First up will be our Pensioners’ Party at the Water Orton Primary School on Saturday 8th March. This annual event is completely free and is open to all pensioners who live in the village.
Carnival Day
The Carnival itself takes place on Saturday 21st June (see separate post for more details).
Black Tie Ball & Golf Day
We are also pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Carnival Ball and Golf Day again at the Lake at Barston, but this year it will be held in October. Those of you who attended last year will know what a great success these events were, with a great day’s golfing followed by a fantastic evening with everyone looking extremely glamorous. As before, these will be separate events so you can come to either or both, but tickets will be limited due to the size of the venue.
Details are still being finalised with tickets going on sale in a couple of months so keep checking back here to make sure you don’t miss out!
Your village needs you!
If you’re wondering why the Golf Day and Ball have been moved from June to November, the truth is that they were very close to the Carnival last year which made organising all of the events quite difficult. Unfortunately we have lost a few Committee members over the last couple of months and the position of Chair is still vacant, so we are looking for new members to help out more than ever as it would be a real shame not to be able to build on last year’s successes.
