Procession around the village

As in previous years, the procession will be headed up by Northfield Caledonia Pipes and Drums and this year will be featuring floats with the theme ‘Transport’. We are expecting the usual variety of costumes, fancy dress and fun, so make sure you look out for us along the route between 11am and 12.45pm.

The Falconry Centre

The Fabulous Falconry Centre team will be at today’s Carnival in the main arena at 2.00pm. During their entertaining and informative display they use a varied selection of Hawks, Falcons, Owls, Eagles or Vultures, all flown to the highest standard. They are a small, friendly team of dedicated falconers who have a passion for Birds of Prey going back over 25 years.The expert team of handlers, will also be available on the field to answer questions and make your day as enjoyable and informative as possible.

The Dog versus The Digby – It’s back on!

After a somewhat makeshift Tug of  War competition last year, we are pleased to announce that it will be the battle of the village pubs once again for 2015. The pressure falls squarely on the Digby as the team from the Dog have beaten all comers over the last few years, including Coleshill Young Farmers, the Digby (of course), the Carnival Committee and about fifty children, not to mention frightening off Curdworth village’s team completely last year!
Don’t miss one of the Carnival’s highlights at 4.00pm. on the main field.

Dance & Gymnsatics Displays

We welcome Nouveau Street Dancers (1.40pm) and Dazzlers (2.45pm) to the main arena for some great dance displays, then there’s the chance to have a go yourself when Rebecca Charles hosts an open session of Zumba dancing at 3.40pm. We also welcome Coleshill Gymnastics Club for the first time this year who will be performing at 3.20pm.
