There’s plenty going on at this year’s Carnival once again and this is just a small selection so, for full details, don’t forget to pick up your programme.

Procession around the village

The theme for this year’s procession is ‘Through the Decades’ and we are hoping for much better weather this time! We are having a walking fancy dress procession and will be joined by some classic cars too from Coventry Classic Car Club and Coleshill Auto Breakfast Meet, so why not join in the fun? You can find out who are this year’s Royal Court here. The procession kicks off on Plank Lane opposite the school.

Water Orton Dog Show – Cancelled

We have made the decision, for the safety of our 4 legged friends, to CANCEL the Dog Show. Could you please help spread the word … it is not safe for dogs to be out in these temperatures. For assistance dogs, we will have cooling stations, but would ask owners to err on the side of caution.

The joys of running Water Orton Carnival, last year it poured down, this year we’re worried about the heat!

Thank you for your understanding.

Main Arena Acts

We have no less than 5 performers on stage from 12.30pm with Olivia Makepeace, Christie Reeves, Hannah Parker, Roy Lorenzo and closing with Ish Murphy at 4.30pm. The arena will be hosted by Water Orton’s very own Terri-Anne, who presnts Switch Radio’s Midweek Mosh on Wednesday evenings.

Dance Display

We welcome firm favourites Fusion of Dance to the arena at around 1.30pm who will also be entering a float once again.

Old School Sports Day

Get your partners ready for some friendly but competitive old school favourites: the egg & spoon race, 3-legged race and sack race, amongst others. To take part you can register at The Info Point from 12.30pm, so get there early as spaces are limited.

Free Attractions

The following are provided by the Carnival free of charge.

The Children’s Craft and Activity Tent with activities will be themed around the Carnival celebrations and a selection of crafts and activities for all ages.

We welcome Cheeky Monkeys again who have been stallholders at previous Carnivals to provide our Free Face Painting for children at this year’s Carnival. We’re expecting them to be very busy, so make sure your child doesn’t miss out!

Lots of Stalls

We have well over 30 stalls around the perimiter of the field with something for everyone!

Where to park

Old Salts Rugby Club have kindly offered to provide limited free parking again this year. You can find them at the end of Coleshill Road, post code B46 1QE. Please ensure that you do not park where you will cause an obstruction for the procession around the village.

How much and how to pay

Don’t forget that admission is by programme only, these will be on sale on the day at the field entrance gates at Openfield Croft and Vicarage Lane at a cost of £4, or £3 for OAPs and one adult programme admits two children FREE. If at all possible please bring the correct change as this really helps us and speeds up the queues.

See you there!
